About Carrie

I didn’t set out to
become the story.

I am not here because I did everything right. I am here because none of us should have to get through the wrong things alone.

A series of events led me here: the discovery of my husband’s long-term affair, the death of my mother that same week and the collapse of the future I thought I understood.

When I searched for what came next, I found endless instructions for finding another man. But I didn’t want another checklist. I wanted honest stories about co-parenting, raising children through change, rebuilding confidence, dating without losing yourself and creating a life that did not feel like a consolation prize.

So I became the guinea pig in my own social experiment.

I am Carrie Pyle Lawrence: a mother of two daughters, television producer turned marketing and creative executive, writer, accidental influencer and lifelong believer that the worst chapter can still produce a very good story.

This is not a top-down advice brand. I make mistakes. I send texts I regret. I sometimes confuse being busy with being healed. I also keep rebuilding.

Writing is the heart of Diary of a Divorcee. My essays and stories tell the truth about that process—the funny parts, the heartbreaking parts and the parts nobody warned us about. The podcast continues those conversations, and Girls Golf Gang brings women together beyond the page.
