Yesterday and today have been pretty hectic. I returned to work today after a full 9 days off due to the studio closing for the holidays. Man, have I been spoiled. Returning to work today was tough after having time off to just relax and catch up on things.
Monday: 1/2/12
Started off the day at Sweet Butter with my dear friend Susan. Had a delicious Curried Chicken Sandwich and salad…
Sweet Butter is such a quaint place and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. We then headed off to Tujunga Village on a mission to get popsicles from Suck It! (yes you read that right, the place is called Suck It!). Boo on them for being closed on Mondays but yay to Gelato Bar across the street for having such amazing gelato flavors available. We both settled on a Chocolate Strawberry flavor which honestly tasted like chocolate covered strawberries. I also mixed it up with a scoop of Banana Split which paled in comparison.
The fun really began when we went to test drive some cars. It was a bit discouraging being basically shooed off the Audi lot but thankfully we were on “car row” and had many dealerships to choose from. I have made up my mind and will get a 2012 Nissan Rogue…most likely happening on Saturday…pictures to follow of course
Ended the evening with a cupcake from Velvet Cupcakes…
Tuesday: 1/3/12
Back to work we go! Why is it so hard to get back in the swing of things. I saw Richard at lunch time… he had to sign some forms for me to sell the car. He suggested that we not talk as much because it’s too hard. I respect his decision and told him we’ll only talk when absolutely necessary.
Ended the evening with some of my favorite people at a restaurant called “Home”. Cool ambience, great conversation, what more can a girl ask for?
How about a Beet/Pear salad? UH-MAH-ZING
We talked about many things over wine, appetizers and our entrees. The topic of “soul mates” came up and they asked me if I had met mine, I realized that I haven’t. Just another thing I should look forward to one day I suppose
Goodnight Friends…xoxo
